Breezy Sun Gives Way to a Soggy Week Ahead for South Florida

Enjoy Tuesday's sunshine because a stretch of heavy clouds, daily showers, and afternoon storms will dominate the rest of your week.

Tuesday features breezy conditions around South Florida.  The East Coast metro area will be mostly sunny with a few showers, while the Gulf Coast and the Keys will see good sun, a few clouds, and a storm or two in spots.  Look for some showers and storms in the evening throughout South Florida.   A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches through at least Tuesday evening.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s along the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will reach the low 90s.

Wednesday will bring more clouds than sun and periods of showers to the mainland, with some afternoon storms as well in the East Coast metro area.  The Keys will see lots of clouds and some showers and storms at times.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday will feature some sun, plenty of clouds, and periods of showers and storms on the mainland.  The Keys will see more clouds than sun, with a chance of storms in spots.  Thursday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast.

Friday will see a mix of sun, clouds, and afternoon showers and storms in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with periods of showers and storms in the afternoon.  The Keys will see more clouds than sun and a few showers in spots.  Friday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast.

Saturday’s forecast calls for more clouds than sun and plenty of showers and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will be cloudy with lots of showers.  Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 80s.
