Mainland temperatures soar into the mid-90s while lingering wildfire smoke degrades air quality across Miami-Dade County.
Monday features lots of hot sun on the mainland, with a few afternoon storms in spots along the Gulf Coast and in the interior. Smoke from wildfires just west of the metro area continues to degrade air quality in Miami-Dade County. The Keys will be mostly sunny and hot. Monday’s highs will be in the low 90s right at the coasts and in the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will reach the mid 90s. But it will feel even hotter, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.
Tuesday will bring mostly sunny skies and periods of showers and storms to the East Coast metro area. The Gulf Coast will see lots of sun and a few afternoon storms. Look for a mix of hot sun and a few clouds in the Keys. Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the low 90s.
Wednesday will feature mostly sunny skies and some afternoon showers and storms on the mainland. The Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds. Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 90s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.
Thursday will see a mix of sun, clouds, and some afternoon showers and storms in the East Coast metro area. The Gulf Coast will be sunny with some afternoon storms. The Keys will see sunny skies. Thursday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Friday’s forecast calls for lots of hot sun and periods of showers and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will be sunny and hot. Highs on Friday will be in the low 90s.
The tropical Atlantic is quiet right now.
