Mild Start to March With Coastal Showers and Gusty Breezes

Sun and clouds mix with scattered showers this week as temperatures hover near eighty degrees across the Florida coast.

Sunday features a seasonably mild morning to start the month of March, followed by a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on the mainland.  The East Coast metro area can also expect a few storms in spots.  Look for sun, clouds, and a few showers in the Keys.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 70s right at the Atlantic coast, in the low 80s elsewhere on the mainland, and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Monday will bring morning lows in the seasonable mid to upper 60s.  The day will be mostly sunny on the East Coast, and the Gulf Coast and the Keys will see lots of sun.  Monday’s highs will be near 80 degrees in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the upper 70s along the Gulf Coast.

Tuesday will feature another mild morning, with lows in the mid-60s to near 70 degrees.  The East Coast metro area will see a mix of sun, clouds, and periods of showers on a gusty breeze, while the Gulf Coast and the Keys will be sunny with the chance of a stray shower.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 70s along the East Coast metro area and the Keys, and near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast.

Wednesday will begin with lows mostly in the mid 60s on the mainland.  Then we’ll see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on the mainland.  The East Coast metro area will also see a brisk and gusty breeze, as well as an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Look for plenty of sun and a few clouds in the Keys.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Thursday’s forecast calls for another mild morning, followed by mostly sunny skies on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys, with some showers.  Highs on Thursday will be in the low 80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.
