South Florida Forecast: Breezy Conditions And Abundant Sunshine Expected Through Thursday

April 12, 2026

Gusty winds and sunshine will define the upcoming week as dangerous rip currents persist along the South Florida coastline.

Sunday features breezy conditions and lots of sun in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see sunny skies and gusty breezes.  Look for a brisk breeze, plenty of sun,  and a few clouds and showers in the Keys.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches through Monday evening.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 70s right along the Atlantic coast, in the low 70s elsewhere along the East Coast, and in the mid 80s along the Gulf Coast.

Monday will bring a gusty breeze, lots of sun, and a few clouds to the mainland.  The Keys will be mostly sunny, with a chance of showers.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents will continue at the Atlantic beaches.  Monday’s highs will be in the low 80s on the East Coast, the Keys, and the Gulf Coast, and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Tuesday will feature more clouds than sun and a gusty breeze on the East Coast. The Gulf Coast and the Keys will be mostly sunny, and we can’t rule out a stray shower in the Keys.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low 80s in the East Coast and the Keys and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny across the East Coast and the Keys.  Look for a gusty breeze in the East Coast.  The Gulf Coast will see lots of sun.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday’s forecast calls for another sunny day along the Gulf Coast, while the East Coast and the Keys will be mostly sunny again.  Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-80s on the mainland and the low-80s in the Keys.
