Expect plenty of morning sunshine with scattered afternoon storms this weekend while forecasters monitor a weak tropical low.
Friday features mostly sunny skies on the mainland, but some showers and storms will develop in the afternoon. The Keys will see good sun, a few clouds, and a chance of showers or storms. Friday’s highs will be in the upper 80s right at the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, in the low 90s elsewhere in the East Coast metro area, and near 90 degrees along the Gulf coast.
Saturday will bring lots of sun and some afternoon storms to mainland South Florida. The Keys will be mostly sunny, with a chance of showers or storms. Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the low 90s in the East Coast metro area and in the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for lots of sun and some afternoon storms in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will be sunny with a chance of an afternoon storm or two. Look for sunny skies in the Keys. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 90s in the East Coast metro area and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.
We continue to watch the Bay of Campeche, where an area of low pressure is forecast to develop. It has a low chance of becoming a depression before reaching the Mexican coast late on the weekend.
