Sweltering Mid-90s Heat And Scattered Storms Dominate South Florida As Tropics Stay Quiet

Tuesday features hot sun, some clouds, and mainly afternoon showers and storms on the mainland.  The Keys will be sunny and hot with the chance of a stray storm in spots.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low 90s right at the coasts and in the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will reach the mid 90s.  But it will feel even hotter, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.

Wednesday will bring mostly sunny skies and sweltering heat to the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  The Gulf Coast will see lots of hot sun and a few storms from the mid-afternoon into the early evening.  Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-90s on the mainland and in the low-90s in the Keys.

Thursday will feature lots of hot sun on the mainland.  The East Coast metro area will see a gusty breeze, and the Gulf Coast could see an afternoon storm in spots.  The Keys will be mostly sunny and hot.  Thursday’s highs will be in the mid-90s on the mainland and in the low 90s in the Keys.

Friday will be mostly sunny and hot with the chance of an afternoon shower or storm in the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny in the morning, but showers and storms will develop from the mid-afternoon into the early evening.  Friday’s highs will be in the low- to mid-90s.

Saturday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny with periods of showers and storms, while the Keys will be mostly sunny with the chance of a shower or storm.  Highs on Saturday will be mostly in the low 90s, with a few locations reaching the mid 90s.

The tropical Atlantic remains quiet.
