* John B. Sanfilippo & Sons recalled several snack mixes due to potential Salmonella contamination.
* The recall affects nut and corn products sold under brand names like Good & Gather and Fisher.
* Consumers should not eat the snacks and should dispose of them or return them.

Several snack mixes sold online and in retail stores have been recalled due to Salmonella concerns, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Wednesday.

John B. Sanfilippo & Sons, Inc. recalled the nut and corn mixes because they’re flavored with a seasoning containing dry milk powder, which the manufacturer previously recalled. The FDA noted that the seasoning tested negative for Salmonella prior to usebut the recall is being issued as a precaution. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.

What You Should Do

If you have recalled snack mixes, do not eat them. Instead, throw them out or return them for a full refund or replacement.

If you’ve already eaten an affected product, be on the lookout for possible symptoms of a salmonella infection, which include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Infections can be especially serious in young children, older adults, or those with weakened immune systems.

Anyone with questions about the recall can contact the manufacturer at (800) 874-8734.
