Costco has pulled a premade meatloaf meal kit from shelves in 26 states, according to a notice on the retailer’s website. The recall affects the Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze kit over concerns that an ingredient may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause serious or potentially fatal infections. As of March 15, no illnesses had been reported in connection with the recall.

The recall affects the Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes kit (item #30783) with sell-by dates between March 5 and March 16, 2026.

This item was sold between March 2 and March 13, 2026, at Costco locations in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the following 26 states:

Costco pulled the item from stores after supplier Griffith Foods, Inc. announced a recall of an ingredient used in the meatloaf due to potential Salmonella contamination. It’s unclear which ingredient was affected, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that beef and produce are among the foods most commonly linked to  Salmonella  infections.

What You Should Do

If you have this meal kit in your refrigerator or freezer, do not consume it. You can return it to a local Costco for a full refund.

Those who have already eaten the meal should monitor for common  Salmonella  symptomswhich typically include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in otherwise healthy people. Symptoms usually appear 12 to 72 hours after infection.
