Florida Warming Trend Begins Before a Damp Weekend

Wednesday features one more cold morning, followed by mostly sunny skies in the East Coast metro area and lots of sun in the Keys as a warming trend gets underway.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the beaches of Palm Beach County, and there’s a moderate rip current risk at the beaches of Broward and Miami-Dade.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid-70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low-70s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday will bring morning lows in the mid-50s to low-60s on the mainland.  The day will be sunny on the mainland, but look for some clouds and showers in the afternoon in the East Coast metro area.  The Keys will see a nice mix of sun and clouds.  Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the low 80s on the East Coast, in the upper 70s along the Gulf Coast, and mostly in the upper 70s in the Keys.

Friday will feature a mild morning, with lows in the mid 60s on the mainland.  Then look for a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on the mainland, while the Keys will see lots of sun.  Friday’s highs will be mostly in the low 80s on the mainland and in the upper 70s in the Keys.

Saturday morning lows will be in the mid 60s to near 70 degrees on the mainland.  The day will see more clouds than sun.  Look for periods of showers on the mainland and a mix of showers and a few storms in the Keys.  Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the low 80s in the East Coast metro area and in the upper 70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Sunday’s forecast calls for seasonable morning lows in the 60s, followed by a mix of good sun, some clouds at times, and a few showers on the mainland.  Look for plenty of sun in the Keys.  Highs on Sunday will be in the low 80s on the mainland and the upper 70s in the Keys.
