Memorial Day features plenty of hot sun and a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area. The Gulf Coast will be sunny with a gusty breeze and a few storms from mid-afternoon to early evening. The Keys will be mostly sunny and breezy, with a chance of showers or storms. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches through Tuesday evening. Monday’s highs will be in the upper 80s right at the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, near 90 degrees elsewhere in the East Coast metro area, and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.
Tuesday will bring a gusty breeze and a mostly sunny morning to the mainland, but expect some showers and storms in the afternoon. Look for breezy conditions, more clouds than sun, and a few showers and storms in the Keys. A high risk of dangerous rip currents will continue at the Atlantic beaches. Tuesday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Wednesday will feature lots of clouds, some showers and storms, and a gusty breeze on the mainland. The Keys will be cloudy with a few showers and storms in spots. Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches. Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast.
Thursday will see more clouds than sun and periods of showers and storms on the mainland. The Keys will see plenty of clouds, some sun, and maybe a shower or two in spots. Thursday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.
Friday’s forecast calls for plenty of clouds and periods of showers and storms. Highs on Friday will be mostly in the upper 80s, with a few suburban locations reaching the 90-degree mark.
