Midweek Storms Give Way to Weekend Sunshine Across South Florida

Wednesday features mostly sunny skies, mainly afternoon showers and storms, and a gusty breeze across the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny in the morning, but plenty of showers will move in during the afternoon.  Look for sun and some showers in spots in the Keys.  An elevated risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches.  Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday will bring a sunny morning and some afternoon storms to the mainland, with the bulk of the action in the Gulf Coast and the interior.  Look for a gusty breeze as well in the East Coast metro area.  The Keys will be sunny with maybe a stray shower or storm.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Thursday’s highs will be in the upper 80s on the East Coast, in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Friday will feature lots of sun with some afternoon showers and storms on the mainland.  Look for a gusty breeze near the Atlantic coast.  The Keys will see sunny skies.  Friday’s highs will be near 90 degrees in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.

Saturday will be a sunny day around South Florida, but look for periods of afternoon showers and storms as well on the mainland.  Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Sunday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, showers, and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will see lots of sun.  Highs on Sunday will be near 90 degrees.
