South Florida Weather: Sun Gives Way to Scattered Storms This Weekend

Expect a bright start Thursday before afternoon showers arrive, followed by a cloudier, stormier weekend with temperatures cooling slightly.

Thursday features a mostly sunny morning on the mainland, but showers will develop in the afternoon.  Look for a gusty breeze near the Gulf coast.  The Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds, with a chance of showers in spots.  Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s, with a few inland locations reaching the upper 80s.

Friday will bring a few early showers and morning lows in the upper 60s to mid 70s.  The day will see more clouds than sun and periods of showers in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with some morning showers and a few late afternoon storms.  Look for clouds, showers, and a few storms in the Keys.  Friday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s on the East Coast and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with mainly afternoon showers and storms on the mainland.  The Keys will see plenty of clouds and stormy periods.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Sunday will see plenty of clouds and showers across South Florida.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the low 80s.

Monday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and a storm or two on the mainland, while the Keys can expect plenty of clouds and a few showers.  Highs on Monday will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.
