Warm Workweek Ahead: Daily Afternoon Storms, Gusty Winds, and Coastal Hazards

Expect upper 80s to low 90s with passing afternoon showers, gusty breezes, and hazardous Atlantic beach rip currents.

Monday features mostly sunny skies with mainly afternoon showers and storms on a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see a sunny morning, but showers and clouds will develop during the afternoon, while the Keys will be mostly sunny with periods of showers.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Monday’s highs will be in the upper 80s on the East Coast, the low 90s along the Gulf Coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.
Tuesday will bring good sun, periods of showers and storms, and a gusty breeze to the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny in the morning with plenty of afternoon and evening showers.  Look for a mix of sun, clouds, and showers in the Keys.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area, the low 90s along the Gulf Coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.
Wednesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with showers and some storms on a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see lots of sun in the morning and periods of showers in the afternoon and evening.  The Keys will be mostly sunny with periods of showers and storms.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s on the East Coast and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.
Thursday will be sunny with periods of showers and storms on the mainland.  The Keys will see lots of sun.  Thursday’s highs will be in the upper 80s on the East Coast and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.
Friday‘s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with periods of showers and storms in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see a mix of sun, showers, and storms, while the Keys will see a mix of good sun and some clouds.  Highs on Friday will be mostly in the low 90s.
