Persistent Storms and Dangerous Rip Currents Threaten South Florida Through Midweek

Tuesday features clouds, lots of showers, and a few storms as a front stalls out near South Florida. Look for gusty breezes along the Gulf Coast as well.  Heavy rain is possible in spots.  Expect a high risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches from Tuesday evening into Wednesday.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 70s right at the Atlantic coast and in the low 80s elsewhere in South Florida.

Wednesday will bring a gusty breeze, more clouds than sun, plenty of showers, and some storms in spots.  Heavy rain and localized flooding are possible in spots.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 70s in the East Coast and the Keys and in the low 80s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday will feature plenty of clouds and periods of showers in the East Coast.  The Gulf Coast will see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers.  Look for mostly sunny skies in the Keys.  Thursday’s highs will be near 80 degrees in the East Coast and the Keys and in the low 80s along the Gulf Coast.

Friday will see more clouds than sun, morning showers, and afternoon storms in the East Coast.  The Gulf Coast will see a mix of sun and clouds with some afternoon showers in spots, while the Keys will be mostly sunny.  Friday’s highs will be in the low 80s on the East Coast, in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast, and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Saturday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with showers and storms on the mainland.  Look for lots of sun in the Keys.  Highs on Saturday will be near 80 degrees in the East Coast and the Keys, and mostly in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.
