South Florida Braces for Breezy Week as Rip Current Risks Rise Amid Seasonable Temperatures and Scattered Showers

Monday features morning lows in the mid- to upper 60s, followed by a mix of sun and clouds with periods of showers on the mainland.  The Keys will see plenty of sun, some clouds, and maybe a shower in spots.  Monday’s highs will be in the upper 70s right at the Atlantic coast, in the low 80s elsewhere on the mainland, and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Tuesday will bring seasonable lows in the mid to upper 60s again.  The day will see mostly sunny skies and a few, mainly afternoon showers.  The East Coast metro area will also see a gusty breeze.  Look for good sun and a few clouds in the Keys.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the low 80s.

Wednesday will feature another seasonably mild morning, mostly sunny skies, and a gusty east coast breeze in the metro area, with lots of sun along the Gulf coast and a few afternoon clouds and showers.  The Keys will see good sun and some clouds.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Thursday will start with lows in the mid-60s to low-70s.  Then look for mostly sunny skies and a few showers around South Florida.  The East Coast metro area will also see a gusty breeze and an increasing risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Thursday’s highs will be in the low 80s on the mainland and mostly in the upper 70s in the Keys.

Friday’s forecast calls for yet another seasonably mild morning, followed by a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on the mainland and more clouds than sun in the Keys.  Highs on Friday will be in the low 80s on the mainland and in the upper 70s in the Keys.
