Sun gives way to daily downpours, gusty winds, and dangerous rip currents across South Florida through the weekend.
Wednesday features a mostly sunny morning with afternoon storms on a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area. The Gulf Coast will see some sun, more clouds, and afternoon showers with a storm or two in spots. Look for a bit of sun and plenty of clouds, showers, and storms in the Keys. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches through Wednesday evening. Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s along the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, and in the low 90s elsewhere in the east coast metro area and along the Gulf Coast.
Thursday will bring clouds and showers to the mainland, with some storms also in the mix in the East Coast metro area. The Keys will see some sun, more clouds, and periods of showers and storms. Thursday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.
Friday will feature clouds, some morning showers, and plenty of afternoon storms with heavy rain in spots in the East Coast metro area. The Gulf Coast and the Keys will see some sun, more clouds, and periods of storms. Friday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s, with a few suburban locations in the east coast metro area reaching the 90-degree mark.
Saturday will be a day of clouds, showers, and storms around South Florida. Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.
Sunday’s forecast calls for clouds and showers in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast and the Keys will see a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms. Highs on Sunday will be mostly in the mid 80s.
