Mainland sun gives way to afternoon storms while gusty coastal breezes bring dangerous rip currents to Atlantic area beaches.
Thursday features lots of sun on the mainland, but look for some afternoon showers and storms as well. A gusty breeze will be in place in the East Coast metro area, so expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches. The Keys will see plenty of sun, some clouds, and the chance of a shower or two. Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.
Friday will bring a mix of sun and some clouds and storms on a gusty breeze to the East Coast metro area. Look for a sunny morning along the Gulf coast and periods of storms in the afternoon. The Keys will be mostly sunny with maybe a stray storm in spots. Friday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.
Saturday will feature hot sun and some mainly afternoon showers and storms on the mainland. The Keys will be mostly sunny with a stray storm in spots. Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the low 90s.
Sunday will see sunny skies alternating with periods of showers and storms on the mainland. The Keys will be mostly sunny. Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.
The forecast for Memorial Day calls for lots of sun and periods of showers and storms. The Keys will be breezy with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs on Monday will be mostly in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.
