The governor’s signing comes a day after President Trump issued an executive order intended to create a nationwide list of verified eligible voters and restrict mail-in voting.

Lawmakers must return to Tallahassee soon to resolve deep spending disagreements and finalize a multi-billion dollar state budget.

His comment comes after he spent $160 million on his 2024 campaign for president before dropping out after the Iowa caucus.
