A large recall is underway for approximately 3.2 million wire grill brushes that may pose an ingestion hazard and cause serious internal injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced Thursday. What You Should Do

The recall notice states that the small wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing a risk of ingestion and causing serious internal injuries that may require surgery.

Weber said it is aware of at least 38 instances of this occurring—including four reports of customers who swallowed metal bristles and needed medical treatment to remove the bristles from their throats or digestive tracts.

Customers should stop using any of the recalled grill brushes immediately and throw them away. They may also contact Weber at 877-597-9588, or online at https://weberbrushrecall.expertinquiry.comfor a replacement grill brush with safer nylon bristles.
