Scorching Mother’s Day Sunshine Precedes a Humid Workweek of Scattered Storms

Mother’s Day features a mix of hot sun and clouds on the mainland, while the Keys will see mostly sunny skies and unseasonable temperatures.  We can’t rule out a stray shower in spots in the East Coast and the Keys.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low 90s in the East Coast and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Monday will bring some sun, more clouds, and some afternoon showers and storms in the East Coast.  The Gulf Coast will see mostly sunny skies, and the Keys will see more clouds than sun.  Monday’s highs will be mostly in the low 90s on the East Coast and the Keys and in the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast.

Tuesday will feature clouds, showers, and some storms on the mainland.  Look for plenty of clouds and periods of showers in the Keys.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s on the East Coast, in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Wednesday will see a mix of sun, clouds, a few early storms, and periods of showers in the East Coast.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with an afternoon storm in spots.  Look for a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Thursday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies on the mainland, with a few showers and storms in spots across the East Coast.  The Keys will see more clouds than sun.  Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 80s.
